Crystal bay

Enjoy a beautiful beach, crystal clear waters where you can snorkel and see an amazing sunset.

Distance: 20-25 mins from the resort.

Head west from the resort through Toyapakeh to Sakti. At the only T-junction take the right fork and follow the signs for Crystal Bay. The drive will take you through the hills and villages, and what goes up must come down, so expect a steep hill as you descend towards crystal bay.
Crystal Bay is also a dive site

Kelingking

This spot is beat explored by car unless you're an experienced on a scooter / motorbike.

Distance from resort: 45-60 minutes from the resort, depending on road conditions and mode of transport.

The drive takes you through villages, up hills and along winding roads. There are some great views along the way. The road has tarmac for the most part and there is a parking area close to the view point, plus some café's at the top.

The views are stunning and well worth the drive - It looks exactly like it does in the photographs! This iconic point on Nusa Penida is an awesome cliff with a powder sand beach at the bottom. You can walk down a bamboo bridge (carefully) to the beach! Be careful when swimming as the waves can be powerful.

Sturdy shoes recommended! Can be seen on the same trip with Angels Billabong and Broken Beach if you have at least a half day.

This site is included in the island tour in our dive & stay packages.

You can see Kelingking from the boat on the way to Manta Point dive site.

Angels Billabong & Broken Beach (Pasih Uug)

These two points are very close to one another and can be viewed on the same trip.

Distance: 45-60 mins from the resort depending on road conditions and mode of transport.

The drive takes you through villages, up hills and along winding roads. There are some great views along the way and be prepared for bumpy roads for the final couple of kilometres (no tarmac and rocky surface).
Once you arrive at the parking area there is a small walk down hill to the natural infinity pool (Angels Billabong). This beautiful point is actually the land side of Manta Bay dive site - if the mantas are in town you can see them from the cliff!

Best seen at low tide. Be extremely cautious in high waves here and don't go in the pool if advised not to.

Approximately 200m away and a small uphill walk you come to Pasih Uug (Broken Beach). There are signs for it from Angels Billabong - Broken Beach is another awesome vista which is essentially a cave with no top! You can see through to the archway leading out to the clear blue ocean and a beautiful beach below. There's no access to the beach as the view point is fairly high above it, but it's a beautiful spot and you can walk all the way around!

West Tour- If you have a day to explore then a west tour will take you to all of the points above.

These sites are included in the island tour in our dive & stay packages.

Diamond beach

This beach is one of Penida's gems. The view is stunning from the top and the white sand beach at the bottom is beautiful.

Distance: 60-70 minutes drive from the resort

This spot is well worth the trip for the incredible views. If you suffer with vertigo then you may not want to do the walk all the way down. If you do walk down then sturdy shoes are advisable! The drive has smooth roads all the way thanks to recent improvements, only the very last section and the parking area have an uneven surface.

Atuh Beach

If you visit Diamond Beach then you can access Atuh Beach from the same point. Atuh is a wider beach and has sun chairs for if you want to soak up the sun. The steps down to Atuh are easier than the ones at Diamond Beach. When you're there enjoy the beautiful views out to Batu Abah and one of the strongest currents around Nusa Penida! The waves are a little calmer here than at Diamond beach, so it's better for swimming but you should still only swim with caution.

Distance: 60-70 minutes drive from the resort

Goa Giri Putri Cave Temple

Located on the east of Penida in Karang Sari village, this is a unique temple. You enter the cave through a relatively small space and then the space is vast inside! Once inside you can wander around, there are a couple of different temple altars. You need to wear a sarong to enter the cave temple, you can either take your own or rent one at the entrance.

Distance: 30 minutes drive from the resort

The road to the cave temple is pretty easy, follow the coast road from the resort through Sampalan town and out the other side. Enjoy views over the seaweed farms and Lombok in the distance on the way.

East Tour- If you have a day to explore then a east tour will take you to all of the points above.
