The Scuba Junkie Penida dive resort is located in quiet Banjar Nyuh village on stunning Nusa Penida, not far from the harbour and just a two minute walk to the beach for a great sunset view. Purposely built for divers, our dive resort is welcoming & comfortable and the perfect starting point for your diving day in the nusa islands.

Nusa Penida is just a 30-40 minute boat ride from mainland Bali, but the pace of island life couldn't be more different! Even though it has grown in popularity over the past few years, Penida is still very traditional. Seaweed farms scatter the shallow waters of the north and east coasts and many locals still farm and live a simple life. You are definitely away from the hustle and bustle of Bali here, and the island has lots of adventures in store for those who want to do some exploring.
Development of tourism on the island has given us new roads and better power supply in the recent years, plus more connections to mainland Bali making access a lot easier.

The dive resort is located in a prime spot on the north coast where the white beaches & amazing sunsets are just a two minute walk away. The resort is built in a modern style but making the most of traditional materials and techniques, and where possible, using reclaimed wood from our land.

At our open-style reception you will receive a warm welcome, and it is here that you can swap stories from your dive day while filling out your logbook with a cold drink, book your fast boat transfers or island tours and get our top tips for places to eat and visit during your stay.

Tea, coffee and drinking water refills are available at reception 24 hours, and the resort has wi-fi throughout.

We offer both dormitories and en-suite rooms so you can choose a great value package to suit your budget. 

Both room types have AC, en-suite bathrooms with hot showers and a balcony.  

You can relax in the shaded hammock area under the acacia trees or have a dip in the swimming pool.

Our 11m resort swimming pool is great for both relaxing and for dive training!

Built with dive courses in mind it features three levels:
 ~1.2m depth for shallow introductory dives which is accessed via the steps
 ~2m depth for progressing with skills to deeper water
 ~3m depth for deep water entries and to allow for multiple courses to run at the same time.

For those of you who like to have a post-dive chat in the pool there is a shallow seat running all the way along the deep side!

The deck is spacious and can be used for equipment preparation and relaxing.

We are just a two minute drive from Banjar Nyuh harbour, so once you arrive on Penida you can be at the resort relaxing into your holiday within minutes. In the local area there are minimarts, laundry, pharmacies and even a hospital plus lots of options for local and western food.

We include a tasty breakfast in our dive & stay packages, and you will have lunch on the dive boat. For evening meals you can explore the local area giving you lots of choice, and this also benefits the local community.

On Foot - Banjar Nyuh & Toyapakeh are 2-10 minutes walk from the resort. Ped village is a 30 minute walk from the resort, it's possible to walk along the beach or the road.

On Wheels - Ped village is a five minute ride, there a more restaurants along the beach and road here. Sampalan is the next harbour town and is 15-20 minutes drive.
